Geneticist supplies molecular derivatives from human tissues and biological fluids. We have an extensive Biorepository of aliquots available for immediate shipment. Derivatives from individual tumor, diseased or normal human tissues are available. We provide detailed clinical information and pathological report for each specific case. RNA/DNA samples extracted from whole blood collected in PAXgene tubes are also available.
Geneticist isolates RNA from every collected frozen tissue and analyzes each aliquot for RNA integrity and stability using the Agilent Bioanalyzer. Total RNA is isolated from human tumor and normal adjacent tissue samples and snap frozen within ~30 minutes post resection. Tumor RNA is isolated from a region in the specimen that contains at least 70% tumor cells. RNA is quality assured using the Agilent Bioanalyzer and is suitable for a variety of gene expression analysis applications. All cases are provided with the standard sets of clinical data, Bioanalyzer trace, and an image of the corresponding histological specimen.
Our Biorepository has RNA samples from a broad range of different clinical conditions. A collection of these RNA aliquots is available for purchase online. If you can not find suitable samples online please contact our office or send us an inquiry via e-mail. Custom RNA isolation from selected tissues service is available.
A collection of DNA samples in our Biorepository is available for customers pursuing genomics and genetics projects. These samples are suitable for genotyping, loss of heterozygosis, mutation analysis, and other applications. Geneticist provides custom DNA isolation service as well. To inquire about samples availability in our Biorepository or to discuss your custom project please contact our office or send us an inquiry via e-mail
Geneticist provides custom-built Tissue Microarrays (TMAs) for target expression and biomarker analysis in diseased, normal adjacent and normal tissues. Tissue Microarrays can be used to validate clinical relevance of potential biological targets in the development of diagnostics, therapeutics, and in studying new protein markers and genes. The use of TMAs offers an alternative quality control method for research and non-research purposes.
Geneticist constructs TMA using carefully selected donors’ tissues. Detailed tissue localization in each TMA block is recorded precisely.
